RootNav Portal
The product of my MSci dissertation. It is a tool that accompanies the University of Nottingham Computer Vision Laboratory's deep learning research on bioimage analysis. RootNav Portal provides biologists a way to streamline their research by analysing and quantifying metrics of root systems over large batches of images to identify genetic differences under different growing scenarios to optimise abilities such as drought and disease resilience, and growth patterns.
RootNav Portal is a Node.js Electron application using React/Redux to ensure cross-platform availability. The application is still being maintained, with updates automatically pushed to end users.
RootNav Portal is currently in use by research fellows in Plant and Crop
Biophysics, and Phenomics departments at the University of Nottingham, and is available for public download
